How do new patients change your practice?Setting Practice GoalsDan Quall
Most important is to back up your goal with strategies and plans. Here's an example: Don’t forget to measure your goals and strategies using Key Performance Indicators (KPI). If you can’t produce KPIs in your practice then getting a system that can help you get this data may be the very first goal for 2010! Dan is a licensed audiologist and the CEO of the Next Steps |

My dad used to say “if you don’t know where you are going then any road will take you there.” In other words set a goal and work towards it! While you are setting goals, remember that you went into private practice for a reason, maybe for monetary reasons, perhaps for schedule flexibility, perhaps to scratch an entrepreneurial itch. Whatever the reason, your business goals should lead you to your desired outcomes in business and in your personal life. Once you know what you need to have your business do for you, then you can begin to set your goals for the coming year. Each goal should be S.M.A.R.T. in that it is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Framed.
